More than 200 Clemson students and staff rallied on Thursday (Feb. 16) for the university’s administration to break its silence on President Trump’s immigration ban.
The March Against Silence began on Library Bridge just after 4 p.m. and was led by the same three professors who participated in a fast last week - Drs. Chenjerai Kumanyika, Todd May, and Michael Sears. The protest served as another push to get Clemson University President James Clements to issue a statement denouncing Trump’s executive order. The March came to an end at the front of Sikes Hall, where several speakers of the university community addressed the crowd.
