A runoff election will be held on Wednesday to determine the 2025 student body president and vice president.
Clemson Undergraduate Student Government announced yesterday that a runoff election to determine the 2025 student body president and vice president will take place on Wednesday.
This announcement occurred about three weeks after the general election results — scheduled to be announced on March 7 — were delayed due to “extenuating circumstances.”
“We would like to thank you, the student body, for your patience as we navigated this situation,” CUSG stated in an Instagram post.
The two tickets on the ballot remain Zach Freeman and Maya Khaskhely, and Eli Warnock and Ally Fields.
A runoff election is a second round of voting to determine a winner due to no candidate meeting the “required threshold for victory” in the general election, according to Ballot Pedia.
On Wednesday, Clemson students will receive an email with a link to vote. The election results are then scheduled to be announced at 3 p.m. on Friday via email.
CUSG encourages the student body to “stay engaged” and to “make their voices heard once again,” according to its Instagram.
