Freeman and Khaskhely are Clemson University's newly elected student body president and vice president.
Clemson Undergraduate Student Government announced today that Zach Freeman and Maya Khaskhely were elected student body president and vice president for the 2025-26 academic year.
In the runoff election that took place on Wednesday, Freeman and Khaskhely received 60.1% of the total votes at 1,659, while candidates Eli Warnock and Ally Fields received the other 39.89% of votes at 1,101.
During the primary election on Feb. 19 — results announced on Feb. 20 — Warnock and Fields were in the lead with 1,263 votes (36.03%), with Freeman and Khaskhely behind them at 1,170 votes (33.38%).
In this runoff election, only 2,760 students voted, compared to a total of 5,386 students who voted in the general election.
The announcement communicated to the student body from CUSG via email comes nearly a month after the general election results were scheduled to be announced on March 5.
