Clemson women's volleyball is 12-0 for the sixth time in program history.
Clemson volleyball continued its dominant start to the season on Friday, sweeping a doubleheader against Norfolk State and Charleston Southern to improve to 12-0 — the sixth time in program history the Tigers have opened a season with 12 straight wins.
In the opener, the Tigers downed Norfolk State, 0-12, in four sets: 25-19, 23-25, 25-17 and 25-11. Kennedy Wagner led the offense with 12 kills and 14 points, while Addi Rains, Khaya Gordon and Nil Okur all contributed with their own key moments in the team effort.
Mia Moore, with 12 kills of her own, recorded her fourth double-digit kill performance of 2025.
Later in the day, Clemson bounced back from a close first-set loss to defeat Charleston Southern, 6-6, also in four sets: 23-25, 25-13, 25-13 and 25-18.
Once again, Wagner powered the offense, leading both teams with 14 kills and a match-high 15 points.
Moore and Kate Hansen each contributed 11 kills, while Katherine Sandt tallied 41 assists and 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the season.
On the defensive end, McKenna Gildon posted a career-high 26 digs, and Okur delivered a season-best 10 kills.
Clemson will now turn its attention to conference play, welcoming Florida State and Miami to Jervey Gym next week. The Tigers will face the Seminoles on Friday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m., followed by a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Hurricanes on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.
