Graffiti on the one of the cornerstones of University Lutheran Church on Sloan Street. This incident in early January led the church to put up a new system of security cameras to curb the high rate of vandalism. This offending mark took over 20 manhours of work to remove.
University Lutheran Church on Sloan Street is preparing to install security cameras due to repeated vandalism, including a recent incident involving one of the cornerstones.
The new cameras will monitor the entire property, including the corner of the utility shed by the stairs from Sloan Street to Clemson Ave., a popular unregulated urination destination. The cameras and accompanying warning signs will be installed in the next week and will be monitored by the city police.
