For all of the freshmen coming to campus this fall, Clemson offers students many special events to spark school and community spirit.
Welcome Week is the first stop for all freshmen, where they will have a Welcome Week leader dedicated to showing them around campus and helping them get acclimated with the community and their dorms.
Various activities will happen on campus during the week of Aug. 14 – 18, such as “Glowga,” also known as Glow Yoga, Silent Disco Night and more! A more specific schedule with dates and times for each activity will be provided before move-in.
Another event that takes place to promote students joining clubs and organizations is Tiger Prowl. Tiger Prowl is the University’s largest student fair, where students can meet and interact with the 500-plus student clubs and organizations. The event happens once each semester.
This fall’s Tiger Prowl will be held in Memorial Stadium from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 22 and is open to all Clemson students.
This year, First Friday will be on Sept. 8, which is a time when the Clemson community forms a parade through campus one day before the home football opener.
Each year, there is a theme to kick off the event, but this year’s has yet to be named. Various clubs and organizations can sign up to be included in the parade, which is set to begin at Cherry Road and Hwy 93 intersection in front of the Hub at Douthit Hills.
Later this summer, all Clemson full-time students can enter the football ticket lottery. This is when Clemson students will have the chance to receive free home gameday tickets, which will be released this August.
The Home Opener is on Sept. 9 against Charleston Southern.
