(BPT) – Accidental ingestions of small batteries — like lithium coin batteries — are on the rise among young children, yet many parents remain unaware of the dangers of accidental ingestion.
Duracell is helping to change the numbers by offering the only lithium coin batteries with a non-toxic bitter coating to provide parents peace of mind and help discourage kids from swallowing them.
As part of their national #BitterisBetter campaign, launched for National Safety Month this June, Duracell is educating parents and caregivers on the potential dangers of lithium coin batteries, while encouraging them to replace their lithium coin batteries with the safer option, and is giving away up to $1 million of their lithium coin batteries with a non-toxic bitter coating to ensure every home has access to the safest lithium coin batteries available.
