Tiger Men’s Soccer was ranked number six nationally in the United Soccer Coaches Pre-Season Poll released Wednesday afternoon. The team finished the Spring season ranked number seven by the same organization.
In the same release, the women’s soccer team was ranked number seven, making Clemson one of two schools to have both soccer teams ranked in the Top 10.
The men’s team were ACC Champions for the 2020-2021 season, going 14-3-3. Nine of the eleven starters from last Spring’s Championship team will be returning, including 5 All-ACC athletes.
Last season, the women’s soccer team went 12-5-2 for the 2021-2022 season. The ladies sent two players to the Tokyo Olympics this summer: Sandy MacIver of Great Britain and Kailen Sheridan of Canada.
The men’s fall season kicks off on August 15 at Riggs Field, where they will face-off against Wofford at 7 p.m. The official season will begin August 26 at 7 p.m., with a match against St. John’s at home.
The women’s season begins at Wake Forest on August 8. Their first home game is against Duke on August 13.
