We all enjoy watching shows on popular streaming platforms such as Netflix and Hulu, and we find that some shows are so good we end up binging them in just a few sittings. One thing that can elevate the quality of a binging session is what snack you’re eating. As a frequent snacker, I have a lot of experience in what makes a good binge snack. Below are a few of my favorite things to eat while I am glued to the screen.
-
Chex Mix- This is one of my go-to snacks while I’m watching TV because there it has a variety of crunchy delights that make it easy to eat for a long period of time. I prefer the cheddar cheese kind personally, but all of them are just as good!
-
Popcorn- There are a lot of options with popcorn, and there is something for everyone. You can get prepackaged and pre-popped popcorn, microwavable popcorn, or you can even make your own! Beyond those options, there are different seasonings and types of popcorn that you can get. All of these customizations make it a good option for a spread of genres.
-
Cape Cod Chips- These are the best chips to binge because they have a good amount of flavor and a perfect crunch. These are satisfying to eat and also fulfilling. There are a few times you may need a little bit of a break from eating these, especially during really quiet scenes, but they are overall a good option.
-
Pretzel Rods- Pretzels are a good option in general, but pretzel rods are easy to continuously eat. These are also a good snack to share with others since you can grab a lot in a singular handful. The only drawback to these is that there is not much of a variety, and they may get a little monotonous after a while.
-
Ice Cream- This is one of the more iconic options, especially when watching more emotional shows and movies. The range of flavors that are available makes this a great choice since you can pick the one that fits the mood you’re in. Apart from traditional ice creams, you can also buy things like Drumsticks if you would rather not have to do dishes afterward.
-
M&Ms- This is a great candy option that isn’t super filling. There are a number of different options, including dark chocolate, peanut, etc. These can also become a bit repetitive but are a sweet treat good for watching most shows.
-
Cheez-It- These are another one of my absolute favorite snacks that comes in different flavors. These are fun to eat when watching reality TV shows since you can usually eat quite a few of these in one sitting and still enjoy them.
