Sophomore wide receiver Ajou Ajou has officially entered the transfer portal, according to Chris Hummer of 247Sports.
The second-year wide receiver is a former three-star recruit from the class of 2020 and is regarded as a player with immense upside due to his size and speed. Ajou is 6’4” and 224 pounds.
Ajou seemed poised to have a breakout year this season after having an incredible showing (six receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown) at this year’s annual spring game.
“He’s a natural when it comes to attacking the ball,” said head coach Dabo Swinney in April. “His confidence is at an all-time high, he’s just like most everybody, he’s progressing.”
“Here’s what I love about him. He’s playing full speed. He’s not hesitating. He loves [to be] coached and loves to compete and he’s a unique guy.”
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned as he has only had six catches for 73 yards this season in limited playing time.
In his career at Clemson, Ajou has totaled eight catches for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Ajou entering the transfer portal follows two offensive players who did so last week, sophomore quarterback Taisun Phommachanh and junior wide receiver Frank Ladson Jr.
