The second annual Spring Into Clemson festival will take place on Saturday, March 31 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Clemson.
The festival will highlight “downtown Clemson as not only a college town, but also a place where area residents can experience fun, food, and family activities while supporting local charities,” according to the Spring into Clemson website.
There will be multiple retail and food/beverage vendors, as well as arts and crafts, inflatables and a stage for live entertainment.
The festival is free, although wristbands will be sold during the event that will allow you to walk around the festival with alcoholic beverages. Wristbands will cost $2 from 2 to 3 p.m., $3 from 3 to 4 p.m., $4 from 4 to 5 p.m. and $5 from 5 to 8 p.m. A free festival cup will be provided to the first 500 to purchase a wristband.
In addition, $2 domestic beer will be available from Nick’s, Backstreets, Tiger Town Tavern, Study Hall and Your Pie.
Proceeds from this year’s festival will benefit four local nonprofits: Pickens County Advocacy Center, Upstate Warrior Solution, The Parenting Place and Foothills Care Center.
The festival will span the length of College Avenue. As a result, roads in the downtown area will be closed from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
