Verdale Benson, a Clemson University graduate, will compete on season 10 of NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior.”
He received a call earlier this month about being cast on the show. Benson made his announcement on his personal Facebook page and referenced his desire to represent Pendleton, Clemson and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
Since his announcement, Benson has been updating supporters by posting videos of his training along the way.
Benson now lives in California with his wife, Mariel Heller-Benson, and works as a physician assistant.
