Expectation: I am going to have the BEST costume and everyone is going to want to copy me next year.
Reality: I am supposed to leave for a Halloween party in one hour and have yet to put together a costume. Cheers to being a black cat for the fifth year in a row.
Expectation: I am going to follow that Halloween makeup tutorial to go along with my absolutely bomb costume. How hard could it be?
Reality: Okay so it’s really hard. My cute costume turned into a creepy costume and I am rethinking my entire night. How awkward to be going for Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” and be mistaken for Ronald McDonald the clown.
Expectation: I am going to have to make like ~oh so many~ social appearances. Everyone wants me at their Halloween party; my calendar is full!
Reality: Halloween is tomorrow and I have yet to make plans.
Expectation: I am going to wear a wig with my costume. It will totally complete my look. Wigs are so in!
Reality: This is itchy and tangled. Why did I want to wear this again? *three months later and still finding pieces of hair from said wig around your apartment*
Expectation: Halloween candy! Yum! I’ll only eat a little though because I am healthy and pay attention to what I put in my body!
Reality: *Eats entire bag of Halloween candy alone*
Expectation: This haunted house is going to be so much fun—such a classic Halloween festivity!
Reality: That was HORRIBLE. I can’t even watch scary movies—why did I think I would like a haunted house?!
Expectation: This is going to be the best Halloween ever. HaPpY sPoOkY sEaSoN!
Reality: Halloween is overrated. How many days until Christmas?
