The Clemson University Police Department (CUPD) is investigating two burglaries that were reported on campus earlier this week.
Police say that around noon on Sept. 17, a laptop was stolen from a South Calhoun Courts apartment. A resident of the apartment was home during the time of the incident, but they did not see or interact with the suspect, according to CUPD.
Police say that on the same day, a laptop, gaming console and other various items were also stolen from an unoccupied apartment in North Calhoun Courts.
CUPD has increased uniformed patrols in the area in response to these incidents.
Police did not say if they believe the two incidents are connected or if they have identified any suspects. Police are currently reviewing video footage from the area and interviewing potential witnesses.
CUPD did note that the doors to both apartments were unlocked, and the department is reminding everyone to make sure that they keep residential doors locked at all times.
