The Clemson University organization TigerLive Entertainment hosted its first annual Tiger Gala this past Friday.
In the Grand Ballroom of the Madren Center, TigerLive, a student organization that sponsors events such as Tigerama and the upcoming Clemson Music Festival, treated guests to a DJ, photo booth, light refreshments and plenty of room to dance the night away. The dance was open to all Clemson students, making the attendance quite diverse with students of all different majors, ages and interests.
Formal dances are a large part of the traditional college experience, but if you are not involved in Greek life or an organization that prioritizes social functions, it may be hard to find an opportunity to get all dolled up and hit the town with your friends. TigerLive’s Gala presented an opportunity to attend a formal dance, regardless of other campus involvements.
Tickets were $10, and all proceeds from the event were donated to Clemson Community Care, an organization that assists those who struggle to obtain food, shelter and utilities in the Clemson and Pendleton areas.
With strobe lights, disco balls, white tablecloths and elegant candle centerpieces, the ballroom set the perfect scene for an epic dance party with your pals or a romantic moment with your person.
