Clemson club gymnastics placed second in the NAIGC Nationals championships.

Earlier this month, the Clemson club gymnastics team traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to compete in the NAIGC Nationals championships. The squad’s second place finish marked the highest placing in the program’s history and could not have happened without some key contributors.

Lily Gangadeen was a vital component of this placement, taking first on uneven bars with a score of 9.800. Gangadeen tied with Jenna Grossmann for a near-perfect floor performance, with each earning a score of 9.950. These two scores led to Gangadeen taking first place in the all-around competition.

Grossmann placed fourth in the all-around category with an overall score of 38.100 and fifth on the beam with a score of 9.500.

Additionally, two men competed at nationals with Clemson for the first time. Alex Bussman and Jakob Feltquate participated in the level nine men’s national championships and all-around; Feltquate took second on vault with a score of 12.650 and fourth overall in the all-around with a final score of 67.750.

The Clemson club gymnastics team is set to go to Pittsburgh for next year’s nationals. If you are interested in learning more about the team, email [email protected] or check out their TigerQuest.
