Clemson hosts many events and activities for incoming freshmen and all students throughout the first few weeks on campus. These special events are made to reflect school and community spirit while also making connections with other students.
Welcome Week
As freshmen arrive on campus and move in, the first set of events happens during Welcome Week. You will receive a Welcome Week leader who is devoted to showing you around Clemson while encouraging you to become involved on campus. Alongside your leader, you will be part of a Welcome Week group with other freshmen, which is the perfect opportunity to meet new people and become adjusted to the new environment.
At night, different events will occur on campus during the week of Aug. 19-27, including a silent disco night and more! Be on the lookout for a more specific schedule with dates and times for each event that will be released closer to move-in!
Tiger Prowl
Tiger Prowl is the best event to go to if you want to become involved on campus. Many student clubs and organizations will be available in one location to encourage new students to join. This is considered to be the University’s largest student fair. Come meet The Tiger if you are there!
This event happens both in the fall and spring semester, and for the fall will take place in Memorial Stadium from 5-8 p.m. on Aug. 20.
First Friday
On Sept. 6, Clemson will have its annual First Friday Parade. The Clemson community forms a parade with different clubs, organizations, Greek life and more! This parade will occur one day prior to the home football opener.
Each year, First Friday has a specific theme, but this year’s theme has yet to be named. The parade is set to begin at Cherry Road and Highway 93 intersection in front of The Hub at Douthit Hills.
Football
As football season is coming up, all full-time Clemson students can apply for season tickets for a set price or enter the football ticket lottery to receive up to four free student tickets for home games. Tickets come in the form of wristbands and must be picked up during the week of each game.
The first home game is Sept. 7 against Appalachian State.
CSLE U-NITES
Clesmon’s Center for Student Leadership and Engagement holds weekly events on Thursdays and Fridays, starting at the beginning of the semester, where students can meet one another. These events are called U-NITES events and are announced weekly on their Instagram page @clemson_csle.
