The Friday before the first home football game always has the town of Clemson buzzing with excitement, and there’s no better way to prepare for game day than a parade featuring almost all of Clemson University’s student organizations.
This year’s First Friday Parade will take place on Friday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. The parade route will begin at the intersection of Cherry Road and Highway 93.
The parade’s theme this year is “Fifty Years of Firsts,” and is designed to celebrate Clemson’s history of hosting the parade. Throughout the event, you can expect appearances from Greek life organizations, student organizations, clubs and intramural sports teams, Tiger Band, Clemson cheer, Rally Cats and some of Clemson’s most popular student-athletes.
Sept. 6 is also Solid Orange Friday, so make sure to show out in your orange at the parade, and you may get the chance to take your photo with The Tiger or Tiger Cub. After the parade, Clemson fans can attend a pep rally and watch the Clemson men’s soccer team take on Stanford at 7 p.m.
