Clemson’s student-run alternative radio station, WSBF-FM 88.1, will host its first concert of the year this month. WSBF is hosting the “We’re So Back Fall ‘24” kickoff show at Jaycee Park on Sept. 14.
The show will be opened by Tangerine Scene, a funky indie rock band based in Clemson. Modern Mammals, another band from the upstate, will also be performing following their Clemson Battle of the Bands win a few years ago. Clemson graduates Sunhouse will return to the WSBF stage to headline as well.
Clemson area residents are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and their friends. There will be no on-site food options, but local food and drinks are only a few steps away downtown. The cover is $10, and doors open at 6:30 p.m., with music starting at 7 p.m.
WSBF is always looking to host more events and connect with music lovers across the region. “We hope it’s something that community members look forward to,” Jack Waldrop, WSBF event coordinator, said. They are working on an October show and are in the planning stages of another in November.
Interested students and community members can keep tabs on all of WSBF’s upcoming events through social media channels or by tuning in, either over the air or online at WSBF.net.
