Following Clemson’s 59-35 win over NC State on Saturday, The Tiger asked Clemson students for their thoughts on the victory:
What are your post-game thoughts on Clemson’s performance against NC State?
“It was another game of starting up pretty quick. We got scoring pretty quick in the first quarter, and Cade looked good on the first run. I’ve never seen him run that fast in a game before, so it was good to see that going. Defense created a couple turnovers at the start, too, which really got Death Valley rocking.
I’m looking forward to seeing this energy against Stanford.”
— Cory Mazur, senior finance major
Who was key to success for the Tigers?
“Antonio Williams was a big key to success. The guy got open when he needed to, got open in the end zone, and Cade had an easy target to throw too. Cade did great as well, but I think Antonio was a good target for him, and it was an easy, safe spot to throw the ball. That was the difference in the first half for me.
Mafah was also a good stability guy. We can always count on him to get the ball down field and pick up a couple yards when we need it. He had a couple of big runs as well which just helps the offense keep moving. That’s the reason it was a blowout.”
— Shane Gallagher, senior marketing and management major
What was the atmosphere like in Death Valley?
“The atmosphere in Death Valley was amazing, stands were packed, people were excited, and when that first touchdown came, everyone knew it was gonna be another show.
The offense looked really good!”
