A woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital after being hit by a driver on College Boulevard in Clemson at about 9 p.m. on Sept. 18.
City police Chief Jorge Campos informed The Tiger of the woman’s condition in an interview.
The woman was crossing College Boulevard by Circle K at a crosswalk. She did not sustain any life-threatening injuries from being hit, according to Campos.
The only information currently released regarding the driver is that he was not a Clemson student, and he was not under the influence of any substances at the time of the accident.
The driver was charged with reckless driving, which is classified as a misdemeanor in South Carolina.
Campos declined to provide an additional statement regarding the incident or if any further information was available.
