Clemson defeated Florida State 29-13 on the road on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium. The Tiger met with Florida State students before, during and after the game to get their thoughts on their team against Clemson.
What is your score prediction?
“I predict the score to be 32-21, FSU.”
— Richard Roveson, junior pre-nursing major
“Sadly, we are going to get smoked. It is going to be 27-10 Clemson. This is not what I want to say, but it is what it is.”
— Matt David, junior finance and real estate major
What are your thoughts going into the half?
“It is a little scary. I am happy to be here, but I am sad. I am a die-hard fan, but we need to see them do something, and FSU is just not doing anything. We want to blame it on DJU, and you guys at Clemson know him, but then we put Brock Glenn in there and still nothing is happening.
So it makes you think about who really is the problem, and it seems to be the whole team. It’s only the half, and there is still a long game to go.”
— Samantha Chaplow, senior psychology major
What do you want to see after the first half?
“I want to see more spark from our offense. Our defense is holding up as best as they can, but our offense really has to execute to the best of their ability, and I do not think they are doing that right now.
They are trying big plays, but they are not executing them like they need to.”
— Brad Andrews, graduate senior mechanical engineering major
How do you feel after the loss to Clemson, and where do you see the team going from here?
“I think we are going to do better than we have done in prior weeks. I think after Brock got his feet wet, we will be even better than what we were tonight. I cannot say I thought this game was going to go differently. He is a redshirt sophomore, and if we give him more time, he will be great.
He is clearly our best option between him and DJ.”
— John Whitescarver, senior psychology major
“The game made me feel honestly better because watching Brock play gave a spark to our offense. We can go further with that and make some plays as long as our receivers do not drop the ball.
It may be a stretch but I’m hoping to make a bowl game. If we improve from here, there’s a chance.”
— Lucas Sunker, junior mechanical engineering major
How do you feel after the loss to Clemson?
“That was a really tough loss to watch, but go Seminoles always!”
— Stephanie Funkhouser, senior psychology and general business major
