On Saturday, Clemson defeated Pittsburgh 24-20 at Acrisure Stadium. Sarah Pepe, senior reporter for The Tiger, sat down with Clemson students to hear their thoughts on how the game went.
Who were the standout players throughout the game?
“Antonio Williams was a standout since he scored two touchdowns. He’s a really trustworthy asset to our team since he often succeeds at making advancements in our games, either scoring or getting great runs. Peter Woods got a couple sacks that helped us defensively, as well as R.J. Mickens having a couple tackles too that has affected their offense as well!”

How did Clemson look today, and what do you think playoffs are looking like?
“I think we had great flashes today, but overall, we didn’t live up to our potential. I think this is a team that can compete; we just need to believe in ourselves and play more confidently. Playoffs is going to be tough because it’s out of our hands, but it’s not impossible!”
— Gabe Robinson, junior marketing major
Based on its performance today, what does Clemson need to focus on for next week?
“They need to gain yards on early downs to not get behind schedule of drives. Not get one dimensional on offense, establish the run and get the play action going after that.”
— Abbie Brooks, senior management major
Clemson will return to the field next Saturday when they will face The Citadel in Death Valley at 3:30 p.m.
