Clemson offers a multitude of diverse dining options, but over the years, one dining hall has remained a top pick for students.
McAlister Dining Hall is located in Clemson’s west campus and offers a wide range of nutrition for students to assist them in staying healthy and satisfied on a daily basis. The Dish at McAlister provides students with different breakfast, lunch and dinner meals while also featuring an all-day salad and sandwich bar.
One reason behind McAlister’s long-standing success and positive reputation is the stellar breakfast that it offers. The dining hall includes an omelet station where students can choose their ingredients with chefs who will make a custom omelet. Additionally, the Naked food station serves healthy and delicious entrees and sides to students.
For lunch, patrons can choose from the Trattoria station offering Italian-style meals such as pasta and pizza; Umami, a student favorite sushi station; and multiple Under the Hood food stations that provide students with home-style meals so that they can stay motivated and nourished during their busy days.
These rotational stations operate throughout the day, in addition to several consistent stations, including the Greens & Grains salad bar, a sandwich station called Sweet Pickles Deli, and even a dessert station called the Confectionary, where visitors can enjoy a sweet treat such as a cookies and cream blondie or baked cookies.
To quench your thirst, McAlister is supplied with three drink stations with a variety of beverage options, as well as a coffee station to prepare students for their day and help you get your morning started.
Besides the dining hall, there are restaurants attached to the building, such as a Raising Cane’s, Starbucks, Stripes Grill and a Which Wich sandwich shop.
McAlister at Core has been voted the Best Dining Hall consistently over the years, and for good reason, as it truly is a perfect college dining experience.
