The 2025 MLB regular season has come to a close, and many former Tigers made an impact on the league.
Spencer Strider was unable to appear on the opening day roster for the Atlanta Braves due to a UCL surgery, which he underwent last season. However, he was still able to post 23 starts over the season after recovering in April. The right-handed pitcher posted a 4.45 ERA while striking out 131 batters in 125.1 innings.
The Clemson alumnus finished the season strong, posting a 2.79 ERA across five starts in September. Unfortunately, the Braves were eliminated from playoff contention, meaning that Strider’s 2025 campaign has come to a close.
Eli White also played with the Atlanta Braves this season, appearing in 105 games across the 2025 season. The Greenville, South Carolina, native and Clemson alumnus hit .234 while tallying 10 home runs and 35 runs batted in.
Carson Spiers’ season was ultimately cut short, as he was only able to make three appearances for the Cincinnati Reds this year; all of which occurred in April. The righty pitched 13 â…“ innings, tallying a 6.08 ERA across his starts. His season ended when he underwent right-elbow surgery to repair his UCL.
The Reds have punched their ticket to the postseason, so Spiers will be able to watch on as they attempt to take down the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Wild Card Series.
Weston Wilson played in his third season in the MLB with the Philadelphia Phillies, appearing in 52 games throughout the season. The leftfielder hit .198 and slugged five home runs throughout the campaign.
The Phillies won their division and will enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the National League. They will face off against the winner of the Reds vs. the Dodgers.
Justin Wrobleski competed for the Los Angeles Dodgers in his second season as a relief pitcher. Throughout 2025, the lefty appeared in 24 games and threw 66.2 innings, leading to a 4.32 ERA.
The Dodgers have secured a postseason spot as the No. 3 seed in the National League and will face the Reds in the Wild Card Series.
Logan Davidson made his MLB debut this season and had little success in his limited opportunities. Davidson debuted on May 24 as a pinch-runner with the Athletics and appeared in his first start the next day.
The first baseman played just nine games with the Athletics before being claimed off waivers by the Houston Astros. He never appeared in a game for the Astros, as he was designated for assignment and acquired by the Los Angeles Angels, where he finished his season.
Davidson appeared in 10 games with the Angels, hitting .167 over the course of the 2025 season.
