Jaelin Llewellyn, a former All-Ivy guard from Princeton University, announced his transfer to Clemson on Twitter today, April 12. This is Clemson men’s basketball’s first committed transfer of the 2022 offseason.
This announcement comes just weeks after the Tigers lost starting guards Al-Amir Dawes and Nick Honor to the transfer portal earlier this offseason.
Llewellyn, a former four-star prospect in 2018, spent four years at Princeton then decided to transfer. He received interest from programs such as Alabama, Arkansas and Ohio State before committing to Clemson.
In 2022, the 6-foot-2 combo guard averaged 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game and was named to the All-Ivy First Team. The fifth-year guard will bring shooting, ball-handling and veteran experience to Clemson’s basketball team.
