The Clemson Tigers fell one spot in the week two AP rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Despite Clemson’s 31-point victory over Georgia Tech on Monday, it took an offensive outburst late in the second half for the Tigers to win comfortably, and the voters noted it.
Clemson entered the season as the No. 4-ranked team, but the Tigers were passed by Michigan on Tuesday, as the Wolverines jumped from No. 8 to No. 4 in week two following their 51-7 win over Colorado St.
Now at No. 5, Clemson will face off against Furman on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EDT at Memorial Stadium, where the Tigers will look to put together a complete performance from start to finish and maintain their spot atop the rankings.
