The No. 9 ranked Duke Blue Devils defeated Clemson basketball, 71-69, on Tuesday night. It was a back-and-forth game that came down to the wire, but ultimately Duke freshman sensation Paolo Banchero was too dominant for the Tigers to overcome.
Banchero finished the game with 19 points and had a key late-game layup that put Duke up four points with 10.6 seconds remaining.
A put-back layup by David Collins brought the game back within two points with 1.6 seconds remaining, but Duke then inbounded the ball and time expired.
Despite the loss, Clemson sophomore center PJ Hall had an impressive game and finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
