With the Cincinnati Bengals’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the AFC and NFC conference championship games, there will be four former Clemson players on this year’s Super Bowl rosters.
These players are:
Bengals: Offensive tackle Jackson Carman, wide receiver Tee Higgins and defensive tackle D.J. Reader
Rams: Guard Tremayne Anchrum Jr.
Higgins played an integral part in the Bengals’ success this season, including catching six passes for 103 yards against the Chiefs in the AFC championship.
Carman and Reader also played big roles in the Bengals’ win. Reader racked up three total tackles, and Carman laid a big block on a scoring play that helped Cincinnati comeback and win the game.
The Bengals will be a popular team for Clemson fans to cheer for as all three players will be key contributors in this year’s Super Bowl, which will be played Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
