The Clemson City Council is considering an ordinance that will extend the requirement to provide and maintain proper pet waste disposal stations at all high-density residential developments that allow pets, including patio and town home developments.
The proposal comes as a response to the increasing number of housing developments that allow pets.
The proposed ordinance passed first read at the Nov. 21 meeting and is set to be officially approved at the next city council meeting on Dec. 5. Those interested or concerned should reach out to a Clemson City Council member or attend the City Council meeting next Monday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Clemson City Hall.
