It’s been about 18 months since I truly discovered what a special place Clemson is. From the outside, you hear about Clemson and the passion that people have for this place. You see Death Valley filled on Saturday’s on TV. Living in this community and experiencing the love for Clemson first hand, it’s easy to see how special this place is, from the First Friday parade to a soccer game at Riggs.
This Saturday at 3 p.m. a new sport, women’s lacrosse, will make its Clemson debut. We are so excited to share our love for lacrosse with the Clemson Family and hope to see you there at Historic Riggs Field. Our inaugural game will be played on the ACC Network, and we can’t wait to show the rest of the lacrosse world what Clemson is all about.
This Clemson lacrosse team will be fun to watch. We were able to land 20 of the top transfers in the country along with a talented freshmen class. The transfers could have finished their careers at other established programs, but they chose to come here, to Clemson, and to be a part of this community.
We’re excited to get this season going and look forward to giving Clemson students another sport to be proud of. We welcome you to the inaugural game at Historic Riggs Field on Saturday, February 11th at 3 p.m. Hope to hear you there cheering on your newest Tigers!
Go Tigers!
