Are you interested in providing services to the Clemson campus and surrounding community but don’t know where to begin? Look no further than Alpha Phi Omega.

Voted Clemson’s best service organization, Alpha Phi Omega is a coed fraternity that has developed a service program to help out on every level, from local to national projects.

It has worked on projects with the South Carolina Botanical Gardens, Adopt-A-Highway, Habitat for Humanity, Clemson Child Development Center and Project Linus. The chapter also hosts the campuswide Blood Bowl between Clemson and the University of South Carolina every year.

The organization aims to develop leaders and build leadership skills among members, promote friendship and provide services to better the community and world around it. Clemson’s Gamma Lambda chapter highly values the Alpha Phi Omega motto of “Be a Leader, Be a Friend, Be of Service.”

Outside of service projects, members also build relationships during other activities, such as tailgates, game nights, formals and participating in intramural sports throughout the year.

“The most rewarding thing about Alpha Phi Omega is being able to work with such a passionate team. Everyone really, really cares about the world we do for the campus, for the community, for the nation with the Blood Bowl,” APO President Matt Harrington said. “We are open to everyone. Anyone who is interested and willing to do service for their community. Those are the people that make APO great.”

If you are interested in joining APO, the organization can be found on TigerQuest or at clemsonapo.org.
