For the fifth time in program history, the Clemson Tigers boast an All-ACC diver, as phenom Freida Lim was named an all-conference performer.
A freshman from Singapore, Lim has excelled in her first season with Clemson, taking second place in the platform event at the ACC Championships and earning a spot in the NCAA Championships in March.
With her All-ACC recognition, Lim became the first Tiger diver to be included on the prestigious team since Dani Kazilionis in 2008, according to an article by ClemsonTigers.com. In addition to that milestone, Lim’s runner-up spot at the ACCs is the highest placement ever for a Clemson competitor.
Lim led the Tigers all season long, accruing five NCAA Zone-qualifying scores, the highest number on the team, in the platform event. She will look to cap off her marvelous year with a quality showing at the NCAA Championships, which will take place at Auburn University from March 6-8.
