It’s that time of the year again when being around your closest friends is something that is absolutely enjoyable. There’s nothing better than being with a group of people who understand you and enjoy being in your presence and vice versa. Here are some ways to make Friendsgiving even more delightful.
Friendsgiving preparation
Have all finances together
You never know if plans will change at the last minute, so always make sure the funds are abundant and secured beforehand.
Bring something
Never come to any Friendsgiving festivities empty-handed. Always bring something with you to the festivities. It doesn’t matter if it’s cutlery or peach cobbler. Always contribute to the feast so you aren’t left looking like a stingy miser.
Be healthy
Come to the festivities with a cleansed spirit and bloodstream. No one likes a party pooper or a pre-festivities drunkard. Make sure to take care of your mental and physical health before being surrounded by a bunch of people.
Leave the drama at home!
In addition to being a party pooper, no one likes someone that brings drama with them. Friendsgiving is about spreading love and positive energy between loved ones, not relishing in the drama of an ex or old friend.
Have fun and stay safe
Keep your wits about you during this time of the year, but also enjoy the company and love from the people closest to you.
Friendsgiving ideas
Light show
Visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden Lights or any local Christmas lights show. Wear a thick jacket, grab a group of friends and go view the Christmas lights in a natural setting.
Go house-hopping. You and a group of friends can take a few minutes to drink (responsibly) and chow down at each others’ houses. You never know if different things will be served at someone else’s house. Just make sure you’re invited first!
Binge-watch classic Disney movies on Disney+
With the new release of Disney+, you and your friends can chow down on some food, drink hot cocoa and watch a bunch of nostalgic films and tv shows on the streaming service.
Adult-centered games
If you’re staying at a friend’s house, you and a group of friends can pick out some card games (Uno, What the F*ck, Cards Against Humanity, etc). Incorporate some drinks and bend the rules a little to enhance the intensity of your night of fun.
Secret Santa time!
What a perfect time to get started on assigning a secret Santas! Grab a group of friends, a hat and small ripped pieces of paper with everyone’s names on them. Mix up the names in the hat, pick one at random and secretly plot out the gifts you plan to get for your assigned friend.
