Are you a Clemson sports fan looking to get involved in the community? Do you just really like body paint? Then Central Spirit is the student organization for you! It’s not just football; Central Spirit is home to fans of all sports, and they have great benefits for members! They host the First Friday Parade every year, organize homecoming and build parade floats. Members who complete all requirements are even able to get playoff tickets!
“Central Spirit is the best club because it brings together different types of people and unites them through a shared love for Clemson athletics and tradition,” Cali Heisey, a junior and the president of Central Spirit, said. “Our members are able to play a role in maintaining the long-standing traditions that make Clemson University special.”
Central Spirit is the group to be with at sports games, and the members are always dressing up, painting their faces and cheering the loudest. Sometimes they even run flags on the field! The club members get together and make signs for each game and promote school spirit.
“We strive to create an inclusive, welcoming and positive atmosphere at all revenue and non-revenue sporting events so that all students are able to show their school spirit,” said Heisey.
Central Spirit also participates in community service events of all kinds. Last holiday season, the club helped wrap Christmas gifts for Adopt-a-Classroom.
