It’s that time of year again! With the blockbuster season kicked off by “Batman v Superman” earlier this week, the bigger hits are quickly heading to theaters. Here’s why you should make a trip to the movies this spring!

“Hardcore Henry” (April 7th)

For the first time in a while, a first person action movie is being released in theaters. “Hardcore Henry” brings you straight into the life of a man named Henry who wakes up in a laboratory with no memory of his past life. Right off the bat, he is told by a woman that she is his wife, only to watch her kidnapped. This movie will get your heart racing as you see a new world through Henry’s eyes, experiencing all the action and violence first hand. “Hardcore Henry” is definitely groundbreaking, with nothing else like it on the market. If you’re a “Call of Duty” or “Battlefield” junkie, this movie is an absolute must see.

“The Jungle Book” (April 15th)

One of the oldest and most beloved childhood movies is finally being brought to life! With Bill Murray as the voice of Baloo and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, how can you possibly go wrong? This summer flick is shaping up to be a perfect viewing experience for both children and adults. A classic, this kid’s story still holds all of the wonder of a Disney film, but amps it up with spectacular graphics that bring you right into the heart of the jungle. One thing is for sure — you will definitely find me in theaters on April 15, preparing to watch Mowgli take on one of the most famous adventures in Disney history.

“Captain America: Civil War” (May 6th)

Probably one of the most eagerly awaited Marvel films, “Captain America: Civil War” is based, for the most part, on the controversial comic series of the same name, which portrays the unraveling of the Marvel universe. Things get political as the government decides to regulate superheroes, tracking and monitoring them so as to protect the common man. Because of this, the Marvel superheroes split into two factions: those opposed to regulation led by Captain America, and those who support it led by Iron Man. This leads to one of the biggest face offs in Marvel history, as Captain America and Iron Man start a war between those fighting for the freedom of superheroes and those trying to regulate

their actions.

“Neighbors 2” (May 20th)

Why should you see this movie? Two words: Zach Efron. The hilarious Seth Rogen versus Zach Efron fight over neighborhood domination is back again for round two. The only difference this time is that a sorority has moved in next door instead, which is at least as terrifying as any party-crazy fraternity. Now with crazy college girls bringing mayhem to the lives of Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, they must call in the help of their old nemesis Zach Efron. Who better to take down a sorority of college girls than a man with lots of personal experience taking down a bunch of frat bros? This hilarious comedy is shaping up to be a must-see in the coming months!

“The Angry Birds Movie”(May 20th)

Last but not least, one of the most famous gaming apps in history is now being made into a motion picture. Red is a social outcast as his rage isolates him from the other birds living on Bird Island. When the birds are suddenly visited by green pigs, Red is the only one to see them for who they truly are — thieves out to steal all the eggs on the island. Red must lead a mission to remove the green pigs from the paradise that once was Bird Island.
