What you should be looking to get bae during your Black Friday shopping

It’s almost that time of year when the lines start getting a little bit longer at the mall and everyone in class is using their food money perfect gifts. I’m no exception to these feelings. I can assure you that come hell or high water I will be at Walmart or any other store working off my Thanksgiving feast while making sure the gifts I buy are absolutely perfect. To help with the insanity of trying to figure out what to buy, I thought I would give my favorite readers of The Tiger a scoop on what to buy for the people you love. You can just call me Secret Santa.
So for a girlfriend, in my opinion, it’s better to have one exceptional gift than a bunch of mediocre ones. Go for a pair of Sheila Fajl’s. They are the perfect accessory to any outfit, and they even make t-shirts look like a five star outfit. Sure they may be kind of expensive (at around $70), but they are always going to be included in the girl gift starter pack.
If you don’t have money for something materialistic, then go for the sweet DIY gift. If you’re crafty and good with some wood and nails then make her something! This year I got a pinewood beside table, and it is probably the best gift that someone has ever given me. It’s a nice piece that will always remind you that you are loved enough for someone to make something extra special for. I’m just going to throw this out there that I believe 99.9 percent of girls have a Pinterest post about a guy that buys her a completely new outfit and then leaves her a note saying where to meet him for the date of a life time. DO THIS.
Boyfriends are the easiest to buy gifts for. I have already finished my Christmas shopping for my beau and it’s not even the beginning of December yet. However, not everyone can be an overachiever like yours truly so here’s some gift ideas for him: clothes that you think he would look good in but he’s too scared to buy because of the price tag or whatever, video games so you can get some peace and quiet while he’s having his fun, a nice bottle of whiskey or liquor if his ID says 21 or up or just gift cards to get food.
But, if y’all are the cute couple who believe in not breaking out the Benjamins for Christmas, then do a fake coupon book where he can cash in on things like a back massage, one chance to pick where y’all go to dinner, or if you’re feeling extra generous then you can even give him a coupon to wash his clothes for free.
All I’m saying is while you still have time to go shopping, I know it can be stressful. My computer is filled with color-coated Post It’s to tell me who I still have left to buy for and what all I need to get. It’s stressful, and finals and 10 page papers will not help the stress at all. So, if you’re one of those partners who your girlfriend says she wants a “surprise” for Christmas or the “I’ll like anything you pick out for me,” she’s lying and her pants are probably on fire. As a woman, I am very difficult to buy for, but maybe these gift ideas will help!
Men aren’t a walk in the park sometimes because I mean they wear and use the same things all of the time, but if you know your significant other then I guarantee you that you won’t have any problems buying. The parents of your partner are a lot harder to buy for (trust me).
