How to get bae this cuffing season

Cuffing season has begun. It may not be cold yet, but it definitely is fall. That’s what my calendar says, anyway. I have already had my senses assaulted by pumpkins at least twice. So, even though the average temperature outside is still above 80 degrees, here are a few songs that will hopefully entice that special someone to snuggle down with you under a blanket on the couch.
“Satellite” by Guster
Soothing and calm, yet also strangely upbeat, “Satellite” uses astronomical terms to describe the relationship between the singer and his partner. He endearingly refers to them as wondrous and always near him, yet just out of reach.
“My Type” by Saint Motel
You almost can’t help but want to move to “My Type”. The brassy-sounding song with plenty of cowbell is about a man starting off by saying that he only likes certain women, but how the listener is exactly what he is looking for.
“Attack Me With Your Love” by Cameo
The height of popularity of disco music is long over, but this song lives on. Cameo gives us over four minutes of funk to groove to while simultaneously inviting a lover to give all the love they’ve got. It’s no “Five Minutes of Funk”, but hey, how often do you get a funky love song?
“Crazy Thing Called Love” by Queen
Ah, good ol’ Queen. Freddie Mercury treats us to a short song about how he feels when head over heels for that special girl. His signature suave voice makes the song just that much smoother. The song feels slightly reminiscent of the finger-snapping coolness of the Jets from “West Side Story.”
“Irresistible” by Fall Out Boy and Demi Lovato
Fall Out Boy delivers a powerful and energetic song about how alluring the subject is. Despite even being hurt by the point of attention, the singer can’t stay away. The words used make the attraction seem almost primal and animalistic. It’s a great song for describing unexplainable fascination with someone.
“Out of My League” by Fitz and the Tantrums
Not everyone always gets their dream guy or girl, but this guy did. No matter how much time he spends with his girl, he still can’t believe that it’s not a dream. This is a great song for flattering whoever you’re playing it for.
“Secrets” by One Republic
“Secrets” isn’t necessarily a love song, but it is a sort of love letter. The beautiful cello that starts off the song pulls in the listener as the singer laments how he has many painful secrets, but is thankful that he has someone he can trust them with.
“Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top
This is it men. This is the one song that will tell you how you can get a lady without fail. According to ZZ Top, no woman can resist a man who looks sharp. Even without the song, there is no lie here. No one ever looks bad in a nice suit.
