What the Clemson-USC rivalry means to The Tiger’s Sports Editor.

What is the rivalry game day atmosphere like to you?

University of South Carolina
The last rivalry game I attended was in 2021 — the atmosphere was intense in Williams-Brice Stadium; all of the fans were overly excited since we didn’t play each other in 2020.
— Macie Stoner, junior marketing major

Clemson University
The atmosphere at the Clemson-Carolina game is very loud, and there’s very few things that beat it. I feel like Clemson fans bring everything they got, and Carolina fans bring their all, and it is a great time. We come together and make a fun and exciting community.
— Omar Daniels, sophomore sociology major

What does the Clemson-USC rivalry mean to you, and which school do you think is on top?

Clemson University
Coming from New York, I did not realize how big the Clemson and USC rivalry was at first. Being here for almost three football seasons, I can say that it is my favorite game of the year. My whole family flies down for the game, and they all wear house-divided stuff, while I always rep my orange and purple. My sister and I are always at competition on whose school is better, even though we all secretly know it is Clemson. I am looking forward to this weekend and another win for the Tigers in this rivalry game.
— Mackenzie McAllister, junior financial management

University of South Carolina
With being a twin, Mackenzie and I have been in competition our whole lives, and now, since coming to rival schools, nothing has changed. Our family takes this rivalry very seriously by coming to these games every year and getting house-divided t-shirts customized to represent both schools. I love USC because of how deep our school pride is! Nothing was better than storming the field at Clemson last year, and the victory was that much sweeter because it was such a long time coming. I am sure that USC will continue their win from last year into this game!
— Price McAllister, junior nursing major

Predict the spread of the game?

University of South-Carolina
I think 24-17 USC. Both teams are going to play a lot of offense and not a lot of solid defense. Spencer Rattler is also going to throw for 200 yards.
— Jordan Lisnow, junior accounting and finance major

Clemson University
I predict the score for the South Carolina game is 35-28 Clemson. Cade is going to throw two interceptions, but he is going to pull through at the end of the game. In the fourth quarter, the Tigers are going to come back and take the lead and run with it. Should be a great game.
— Carson Scott, junior management major
