From Netflix to Disney+, streaming services have revolutionized the entertainment industry, and Clemson is throwing its name into the mix. As announced on Feb. 2, Clemson Athletics and IPTAY have partnered to create Clemson+, a streaming service officially launching on Feb. 15 at midnight.
Clemson+ will feature behind-the-scenes looks and exclusive access to all things Clemson Athletics-related.
The streaming service will be exclusively available to IPTAY donors and will have regularly updated content when launched.
“Clemson has been a leader in the digital space for many years, and Clemson+ is a tremendous lift to our coaches, student-athletes and donors in our ability to deliver first-class content,” said Clemson Athletics director Graham Neff in a press release.
The available content will include “All-Access,” which gives behind-the-scenes looks at teams during their seasons. There will also be exclusive podcasts and a look at Clemson’s support areas that are not in the spotlight as much.
According to the press release, there is the possibility of exclusive live content to be added to the streaming service.
“There is a clear demand for deeper video around all of our athletic programs, and Clemson+ delivers on that,” Neff added. “We see this as a way to show how impactful the support is of our donors, and this allows fans to get closer to our student-athletes and coaches.”
Clemson+ will be available for download on all major streaming platforms and accessible through the Clemson Tigers mobile app and a web browser.
For current and newly accepted students, becoming an IPTAY Collegiate Club member will provide access to Clemson+. The cost to become a Collegiate Club member is $40 for a one-year membership or $130 for a four-year membership.
The minimum cost to become an IPTAY member for non-Clemson students is a minimum of $60 annually, which is regarded as the “Paw” level.
Clemson Athletics and IPTAY’s partnership traces back to 1934, when most films were restricted to black and white coloring. Now, the partnership is creating a unique entertainment service that has the opportunity to enhance the Clemson experience.
