There’s not much wrong with the American classic of the cheeseburger. You’ve got your perfectly grilled beef patty, the warm crispy bun and the endless combinations of tasty condiments. So it’s pretty established that you can’t make the burger, at least by itself, any better. Ah, but what if you marry it with a certain beloved breakfast treat, the elegant and tasty French toast? If you want a fulfilling meal that gives you the strange sensation of eating breakfast and dinner at the same time, but also makes your mouth water while you are eating it, this is the recipe for you.
Ingredients
Ground beef
2 slices of bread
4 slices of cheese (Muenster works the best)
4 eggs
½ cup of milk
½ cup of cream
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of oil
1 tablespoon of butter
Instructions
1. Form the ground beef into thin patties and cook. Season to taste.
2. Place two slices of cheese on the bread.
3. Place one patty on the cheese, top with the other cheese slices then cover with bread.
4. In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, cream, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Whisk together well.
5. Melt the butter in a pan with oil, then spread it over the surface thoroughly.
6. While the butter is melting, take the sandwich and dip only the bread parts into the egg mixture.
7. Fry the sandwich in the pan until both sides are golden brown.
