Deep Orange 11 is an autonomous vehicle prototype designed and manufactured by master’s students, faculty advisers and industry partners at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research. The Deep Orange project challenges Tigers to design the future of the automotive industry and the 11th edition was recently finished, focusing on promoting sustainable design and production, accessibility and self-driving capabilities. With five sensors built into the design of the vehicle, it can operate autonomously in urban and highway environments.
