Clemson is known for many things: winning National Championships, crushing the University of South Carolina in everything we do and making orange a tolerable color to wear. However, there is one thing people do not usually associate with Clemson, South Carolina: snow. So, when it does snow, our whole world seems to stop here in Clemson.
There is a decent amount of students at Clemson who have never seen snow or have seen it only a few times in their lives. And even those more accustomed to it, like our out-of-state students from up north, are also excited because they do not get to see the magical snowfall as often as they did back home. Regardless of everyone’s experience with snow, I think we can agree that there is no better way to spend a snow day than taking part in a snowball fight on the iconic Bowman Field.
Junior communication major Julia Monniger was not surprised to hear that Bowman was voted the best place on campus for a snowball fight, saying, “While snowfall in Clemson is a rare occasion, Bowman is the best place to be anytime it snows because there’s enough space to have a large snowball fight with friends!”
Bowman is home to picnics, spikeball, bid days, homecoming floats and so much more. Therefore, it is only fitting that Bowman is the place to be for an epic snowball fight.
