Life on campus is always full of new opportunities and surprises, one of which is learning how to cook for yourself. Maybe you miss home and want a meal just like your mom would make, or you could be sick of eating Wendy’s everyday. In either case, making food yourself is always a way to be more responsible and learn one of life’s many skills.
One of the most recognizable home-cooked meals is a loaded baked potato. This recipe is dorm friendly, delicious, and can be made using only the microwave and minimal dishes.
What you’ll need:

1-2 russet potatoes

Sour cream
-
Cheese (your preference)

Bacon bits
-
Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:

Use a fork and pierce the skin of the potato

Microwave potato for 10-12 minutes on high

Let it cool for 3-5 minutes

Cut through the potato and scrape the inside

Mix with the toppings listed or toppings of your choice
