Clemson fans are mourning the loss of former baseball player Reed Rohlman, who tragically passed away in Florida on Wednesday, Clemson announced on Friday.
Rohlman, known as “left-field Jesus,” made a significant impact on Clemson baseball during his tenure. During his time at Clemson, Rohlman earned two-time All-American honors, boasting a .329 batting average, a .410 on-base percentage, 11 home runs, 59 doubles and 135 RBIs over 187 games.
Rohlman was a two-time All-ACC selection, earning honors as a redshirt freshman in 2015, only the second freshman in Clemson history to earn the honor. His performance also helped lead Clemson to victory in the 2016 ACC Championship.
Following his collegiate career, Rohlman was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 35th round of the 2017 MLB draft, where he played for three seasons.
Off the field, Rohlman graduated from Clemson in 2017 with a degree in parks, recreation and tourism management.
