Do you have any advice for what to wear to a spring formal?
Spring formals are always so fun! But, they can be a challenge to dress for, especially if it’s hot outside. I would suggest trying to find something that would keep you comfortable in any weather condition. Spring can be a volatile weather season, so you must be prepared. I would bring as many fail-safes as you can. An umbrella or poncho, windbreaker and winter coat. Make sure to find a dress or suit that can double for both winter and summer weather.
How do I motivate myself to go to a class I don’t enjoy?
Getting the motivation to go to a class you don’t enjoy can be hard. I have definitely had my fair share of intolerable classes. My advice would be to simply drop the class. If it’s required for your major, switch. Life is far too short to force yourself to do things you don’t want to. What could possibly go wrong from dropping the class?
What are some of the best places around campus for studying?
In my opinion, the best places for studying are the places where you can’t get distracted. Having a vibrant outdoor space to study with minimal distractions is the way to go. That’s why I would suggest Bowman. Its vibrant outdoor area with active student life is the perfect place to go. There’s hardly ever any action besides quiet studying, especially at night. Bowman’s historical context also gives you something else to learn about while you’re there.
What should I do about the guy I have a crush on?
Are you serious? You come to the school newspaper advice section for the same question that 3rd graders ask. Go talk to the guy, gal. I don’t care what they are, but emailing us instead of just texting them is crazy. Grow a pair of balls and buy them a bouquet. I can not believe this is how I have to spend my time answering the world’s easiest question. If you need help pulling, keep it to yourself.
