The Clemson City Council recently discussed raising the fines for parking longer than the allowed time downtown. The goal is to bring the cost of the fines closer to those on campus.
For example, a first offense for parking over one hour in downtown will land you a $10 ticket, while staying overtime at a meter on campus will cost you $30 if you pay on time.
