Tiger Brief: City moves to outlaw public defecation and urination

The city of Clemson took the first step to update its disorderly conduct ordinance at the city council meeting on Monday.

This change will outlaw public defecation and urination, which are defined as unsanitary acts in the public view. It also fixes several constitutional issues that have risen in the decades since it was last amended.

The change to the ordinance passed first read, and second read is scheduled for the April 17 meeting.
