As students consider options for living at Clemson, there’s one adage that always holds true: “Location, location, location.”
For that reason, it’s no surprise that Douthit Hills has won Best On-Campus Housing in Clemson yet again. As one of just a few on-campus apartment complexes, Douthit has become a hot ticket for continuing students due to its considerable proximity to campus and all its related amenities.
No matter how many perks an off-campus apartment complex may offer, it’s hard to pass up a commute that doesn’t require a car and is right next to a dining hall and academic study location.
The complex, which opened in 2018, is situated on the edge of campus, near the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business.
Students living in Douthit Hills enjoy an upgrade over the dorm life of their freshman year with in-unit kitchens, laundry and bathrooms, plus private bedrooms in studio, double and quad configurations.
At the same time, they still find many of the conveniences of campus life within close reach at the Community Hub, which offers a fitness center, bookstore and multiple dining options. Other parts of campus such as Fike, Cooper and most academic buildings are no more than a 15-minute walk.
Douthit Hills’ sheer convenience and supportive transitional lifestyle create one of the best student housing complexes in the area for those that are seeking on-campus living. So if you’re in the market for on-campus housing, Douthit Hills is certainly not an option that you should overlook this year.
