Beginning on Monday, Feb. 20, lot P-5, the lower lot in the East Park-N-Ride, will be closed to conduct further engineering studies for future expansion.
The closure will shorten the East Park-N-Ride bus route, bringing the maximum waiting time and time to get to campus down to seven minutes, according to Parking and Transportation Services director Dan Hofmann.
Parking Services is not concerned about closing lot P-5, as the other lots in the East Park-N-Ride always have extra space and are in more desirable locations, according to Hofmann.
